Contribution caps 2026-27
Be mindful of contribution caps when making extra contributions:
- Concessional (before-tax) cap: $32,500 per year — includes employer SG, salary sacrifice, and personal deductible contributions (was $30,000 in 2025-26)
- Non-concessional (after-tax) cap: $130,000 per year — personal contributions you don't claim a tax deduction for (was $120,000 in 2025-26)
- Carry-forward: If your total super balance is under $500,000, you can use unused concessional cap amounts from the previous 5 financial years
