This policy explains what information SuperFind collects when you use the site, how we use it, and the third-party services we rely on. We try to keep things simple because we only collect what we need to run the site.
Who we are
SuperFind (superfind.com.au) is an independent Australian superannuation comparison resource operated as a project of DecisionLab. Contact us at hello@decisionlab.com.au.
Information we collect
You do not need to create an account, sign up, or provide personal information to use SuperFind. There is no newsletter or membership system. We collect only standard analytics and advertising information automatically:
- Usage data — pages visited, time on site, referring URL, approximate location (country/state), device type, browser, and screen size. Collected via Google Analytics 4.
- Advertising identifiers — cookies and device identifiers used by Google AdSense to serve and measure ads.
Calculator and comparison inputs (balance, age, fund choices) are processed entirely in your browser. We do not send or store your inputs on our servers.
How we use information
- To understand which pages help people so we can improve them.
- To serve relevant ads through Google AdSense, which funds the site.
- To detect abuse (scraping, spam, denial-of-service) and protect the site.
We do not sell your data. We do not share analytics with third parties beyond the services named below.
Third-party services
SuperFind uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Google Analytics 4 — anonymised site usage data. Google Privacy Policy.
- Google AdSense — displays ads on fund review, comparison, and guide pages. AdSense uses cookies and device identifiers to serve personalised ads unless you opt out. Learn more at How Google uses data and manage preferences at Google Ad Settings.
- Google Fonts — loads the site's typefaces. Google may log font requests.
- Netlify — hosts the site and records standard server request logs (IP address, user agent) for security and reliability.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored in your browser. SuperFind uses cookies only through the third-party services above (Google Analytics, Google AdSense). We do not set our own first-party tracking cookies.
You can block or clear cookies via your browser settings. Disabling cookies will not stop you from reading guides or using comparison tools, but some analytics and advertising functionality will be limited.
Your rights under Australian law
Under the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) set out in the Privacy Act 1988, you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you (typically none, given we don't collect personally identifying data directly).
- Ask us to correct or delete any information we do hold.
- Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe your privacy has been breached.
Email hello@decisionlab.com.au to make a request. We respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
SuperFind is intended for adults with a superannuation account or interest in super. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information, email us and we will remove it.
Data retention
We retain Google Analytics data for 14 months. Netlify server logs are retained per Netlify's standard policy. Email correspondence is retained only as long as needed to answer your enquiry, then deleted.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a new "last updated" date. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated policy.
